The Golden Northern Bumble Bee is found from Quebec and New Brunswick, through to Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, south to Georgia, west to British Columbia, Washington, Oregon, California and Mexico (
Bumblebee.org 2011).
Note that this species' ID was verified by Robbin Thorp as Bombus californicus. Robbin (2013) says: some consider B. californicus{/a} to be a subspecies or junior synonym of B. fervidus.
